Solar Tree by Ross Lovegrove

This is the prototype of the "Solar Tree" by Ross Lovegrove. It's placed in front of the MAK, Museum für Angewandte Kunst (museum for applied arts and contemporary art) on Vienna's Ringstraße. It's run with high-tech-solar-cells and I think it is a very beautiful and most of all sustainable alternative to the usual illumination-strategies in Vienna. http://de.wordpress.com/tag/ross-lovegrove/

Milan 2007: Serralunga by Ross Lovegrove & Zaha Hadid

Showing that luxury and creativity can mix, this years design from Serralunga combines more traditional forms with interesting layering and transparency to create some very chic but challenging product. New Wave by Ross Lovegrove is a singular design that appears to change and adapt within space in a kinetic way as one moves around it generating a flow and dynamic from a static object. Flow by Zaha Hadid is two vases that are made of rotation-moulded PVC and stand 1m and 2m tall.

Designer: Ross Lovegrove & Zaha Hadid [ Manufacturer: Serralunga ]
